Teacher Education Career Readiness Seminar


The University Career Development Center and College of Education and Health Professions are excited to present the Teacher Education Career Readiness Seminar, a one-day event geared toward better preparing future teachers for the workforce. Teacher candidates will have the opportunity to engage with local school districts and experts to learn about the hiring process, ask questions and receive feedback directly related to your licensure area, review interview techniques, and have your resume personally reviewed. This event is planned in conjunction with the Teacher Education Career Fair which is scheduled for April 7th. Business Casual Attire Required.

Ready. Set. STEM! Powered by Walmart


Representatives from Walmart will discuss how their Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math degree has assisted them in the work they currently do. Students will have the opportunity to ask the panelists a variety of questions and network with company representatives. (No professional dress attire required. Come as you are.)

Walmart will be giving away gift cards for students who attend! The first 10 students who arrive will be entered for a chance to win a $50 Walmart gift card. Those who stay for the entire event will be entered for one of three Walmart gift cards valued at $50 and $100.

On-Campus & Summer Job Fair (UA Campus Depts. Only)


On January 23th, 10am-12pm & 1-2pm, the University Career Development Center will partner with New Student & Family Programs to host the On-Campus & Summer Job Fair in the Arkansas Union International Connections Lounge. This fair is for students who want to talk to U of A campus departments about part-time, work study, internship, and research positions open throughout the year and during the summer months. This event is free to U of A campus departments. Lunch will be provided to department representatives. Department registration deadline is Thursday, January 16th.

Health Professions Career Fair


The Health Professions Career Fair allows recruiters to connect with UA students interested in health-related careers, internship, or graduate schools. This fair will include hospitals, health clinics, social service agencies, graduate and professional schools, and other companies and organizations seeking to hire or connect with students interested in working in health-related fields.

Employers and Professional Programs are encouraged to register and attend this event to connect with hundreds of students with interests in working in health-related industries and/or pursuing health-related professional licensing through graduate education. Brand your organization or school on a campus with over 27,000 students representing 94 undergraduate majors and 145 graduate programs. The registration deadline is January 29th.

UA Students are encouraged to attend the Health Professions Career Fair to gather information about graduate and professional schools and to look for a full-time, part-time or internship positions in the health-related field. Also attend this fair to polish your interview skills, learn industry information, expand your network and gather information about attending companies and organizations. Business Casual attire is required to attend.

The employer registration deadline is February 5th.

STEM Career Fair


Employers are encouraged to register and attend the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Career Fair to meet and network with University of Arkansas students within the STEM fields. This event also provides the opportunity for employers to brand their companies on a campus with over 27,000 students representing more than 94 undergraduate majors and 145 graduate programs. Please note that only Employer Partners will be given an opportunity to host an individual information session during the week of the STEM Career Fair.

To be included in printed materials, companies must be registered by February 19th.

The employer registration deadline is March 4th.

Students should attend the STEM Career Fair to identify employment opportunities, expand their network, polish their interview skills, learn industry information, and gather information about companies. Students may catch a shuttle to and from the career fair at the following location between 9:30 am and 4:00 pm: BELL Engineering (Dickson Street side) *Last shuttle from BELL to the fair leaves at 3:00pm. Business Casual Attire REQUIRED to attend.
