Student Info

Undergraduate and graduate students in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math and graduate students in Humanities or Social sciences should attend this conference to connect with employers and to learn valuable professional development skills. Attendance is by application only. Applications are due 5/1/23.

There is no cost for students to attend. Breakfasts and lunches are provided.

ALL students are invited to attend the Career Fair on August 10, 1-2pm, in the Pauline Whitaker Animal Science Center. Participating in the A2i conference is not required to attend this one-hour event.

Employer Info

As an employer, there are three primary ways to engage in the A2i conference. Depending on your company’s needs, you can engage with students in one or more of the conference tracks: STEM undergraduate students, STEM graduate students, and/or social sciences and humanities graduate students.

One way to engage is to host a conference workshop. These workshops will involve approximately 40 minutes of interactive workshop material, followed by 20 minutes for Q&A. During these workshops, you will be the only employer in the room with the students. Topics and timeslots will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis.

A second way to engage is to participate in the boutique career fair that is happening on the 3rd day of the conference. This fair has capacity for only 25 employers, but the full U of A student population will be invited to participate.

The third way to engage is to purchase add-ons to the two options above. Add-on options include sponsoring a conference meal, providing all interviewers for the mock interview workshop, and/or providing all resume reviewers for a resume review workshop.
