Visit the Career Studio

The Career Studio is an open-concept environment where UA students and alumni can drop in for general career-related services without an appointment. The Career Studio is staffed by Career Peer Mentors, highly-trained undergraduate and graduate students representing multiple academic programs on campus. These mentors provide basic one-on-one and group advising/coaching with some of the OCC's most popular services.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 10:00 am- 5:00 pm, Friday 9:00 am- 12:00 pm
Location: CORD 127

We will open on August 17th for regular operations for the Fall Semester.

Need a photo for your LinkedIn, Handshake, or email? The Career Studio does headshots! Professional headshot photos are by appointment only.

Tips for your photo appointment

  • Dress business professional or business casual
  • Edited photos will be sent 1 week after your scheduled appointment

To meet with a peer mentor in our Career Studio virtually and to schedule your headshot appointment please follow the instructions below:

  1. Log in to https://uark.joinhandshake.com/.
  2. Navigate to the "Career Center" at the top right, then "Appointments."
  3. Click on the blue "Schedule a New Appointment" button.
  4. Select "All Majors Students," then "Virtual Career Studio." or "LinkedIn or Professional School Photo Session"
  5. Choose the appointment time that works best for you. Please remember to include your phone number, email, and reason for visit when requesting the appointment. You can find an explanation of appointment types here.

Unable to meet with us during our walk-in hours? We can review your resume and cover letter over email.

Please send your document as a Microsoft Word Document to cstudio@uark.edu with the following information:

  • What is the purpose of this document? If you are applying for a specific job, please send the job description.
  • Is this for a class assignment? Please let us know the professor and the name of the course

Your document will be reviewed within 5 Career Studio Business days, our operating hours are Monday-Thursday 10:00 am- 5:00 pm, Friday 9:00 am- 12:00 pm and we are closed during scheduled university closures.
