Hire a Hog!
Hiring UARK students is a great way to support their career-readiness while achieving
your department's goals. Use our resources to hire your next hog!
Advertise a Job
All student employment opportunities should be highlighted in Handshake, UARK's student career platform.

How the job is posted on Handshake depends on how you recruit/collect applications.
- Option 1: Recruiting via Workday
- If you recruit students by posting the position on Workday and collecting applications on Workday then the Central HR recruitment team will highlight your position on Handshake so
your position can be easily discovered by students. Students will be directed to apply
on Workday, and you will review applications on Workday. Hiring managers do not need
a Handshake account for this hiring method.
- Option 2: Recruiting via Handshake
- If you recruit students outside of Workday and then use the evergreen application after the candidate is selected, you will need a Handshake account to advertise your position and collect applications.
Handshake does not replace the Workday onboarding process; it is a recruitment tool
for evergreen positions. Stay in contact with your HR partner during this process.
Requesting a Handshake Account:
On-campus faculty or staff members who would like to post jobs can request a Handshake
account by filling out this request form. Cecilee Essary will follow up with instructions.
