Sooie Suit Up


The University Career Development Center will host the annual Sooie Suit Up with our collaborating partner JCPenney at their store in the Northwest Arkansas Mall. During this special event, UA students will be able to purchase an entire men's or women's suit, including shirts/blouses, ties, belts, skirts, jackets, and shoes, for 40-70% off! In addition, students will learn style tips for suits and career wear in preparation for upcoming job interviews and career fairs. All UA students are encouraged to attend. Faculty and staff may also take advantage of the discount before or after working a volunteer shift at the event.

Students and Volunteers may catch a shuttle to and from the event at the ARKU Bus Station from 5:30 PM - 10:30 PM. Last shuttle from ARKU Bus Station to JCPenney leaves at 8:30pm.

The University Career Development Center and College of Education and Health Professions are excited to present the Teacher Education Career Readiness Seminar, a one-day event geared toward better preparing future teachers for the workforce. Teacher candidates will have the opportunity to learn about the hiring process from local districts, ask questions and learn from district/school staff on professional panels, and learn about how to apply for your teaching license. E2 Series (Engineers Employed) Spring 2019


The Engineers Employed Series, better known as E2 Series, was created by the College of Engineering to ensure that students majoring in engineering at the University of Arkansas will be better prepared to enter the workforce. Through various professional development workshops and events, UA College of Engineering students will be equipped to face the challenges associated with job searching and find a career that best suits their interests, motivational traits, personality, values, abilities, aptitudes, personal work styles, and work environment preferences.

The E2 Series consists of resume and interview workshops & critiques, company tours, and a few employer/student meet and greets that will allow students the opportunity to interact with local, regional, as well as national employers looking to hire engineers. Students will learn how to create eye-catching resumes, interview effectively, and network with employers that are promoting open positions.

This fair is for students who want to talk to U of A campus departments about part-time, work study, internship, and research positions open throughout the year and during the summer months. This event is free to U of A campus departments. Lunch will be provided to department representatives. Department registration deadline is Thursday, January 17th.

Employers are encouraged to register and attend the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Career Fair to meet and network with University of Arkansas students majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. This event also provides the opportunity for employers to brand their companies on a campus with over 27,000 students representing more than 78 undergraduate majors and 153 graduate degree programs. Please note that only Employer Partners will be given an opportunity to host an individual information session during the week of the STEM Career Fair.

To be included in printed materials, companies must be registered by February 13th.

The employer registration deadline is February 27th.

Students should attend the STEM Career Fair to identify employment opportunities, expand their network, polish their interview skills, learn industry information, and gather information about companies. Students may catch a shuttle to and from the career fair at the following location between 9:30 am and 4:30 pm: BELL Engineering (Dickson Street side) *Last shuttle from BELL to the fair leaves at 3:30pm.
