According to the University of Arkansas's public policy program, it is an interdisciplinary doctoral (Ph.D.) program encompassing the applied social sciences; behavioral sciences; and sometimes more specific, focused areas such as agriculture, education, health, and other disciplines. Public policy programs promote public policy analysis and practice that improve the lives of the people on a state, federal, and international level.
