Course Credit: 1 hour
The VAED 1011 class is offered each semester as either a full semester or 8 week course for one credit hour. It is a "crash course" on exploring the right major and career for you and is taught by experienced Career Center staff members. It covers: self assessment, majors available and what you can do with the major, occupational awareness, presenting yourself for employment, and internet resources for the job search.
Course Credit: 3 hours, meets full semester
This course examines the career planning process of self-assessment, exploring career opportunities in the world of work and learning assertive job search strategies that result in the development of a Life after College career plan.
This course is designed to prepare juniors and seniors to enter the job market and/or gain entrance into graduate and professional school. It will assist students in gaining information about themselves, the world of work, job search strategies and job search preparation skills.
