Presenter: Charlotte King, President/Creative Director of Snowden & King Marketing Communications

As corporations continue their commitment to sustainability and responsibility to our environment, we have learned 1 thing:  “there is always more to learn”.

The University of Arkansas Career Development Center invites you to be our guest on September 23, 2008 for “How Green Business Works”.  From corporate sustainability to neighborhood recycling and $4.00 gallon gas to nuclear energy, environmental issues are complex and impact all aspects of modern American life.  The next generation of savvy business managers in every business sector, public and private, needs to understand the short- and long-term environmental impact of business decisions. Like learning a second language as a strategic career advantage, increasingly employers will need staff who can anticipate environmental impacts to operations, human resources, product develop and marketing, research, production, and of course the financial bottom-line.

Charlotte King, President/Creative Director of Snowden & King Marketing Communications, Atlanta, GA will address these and other topics of concern to you.  For over 10 years the firm has specialized in environmental marketing across the country and publishes “Marketing Zone”, a national environmental marketing trade magazine, “linking business and environmental community together”.  Her environmental messages and marketing strategies have successfully reach 1.2 million consumers, attracted corporate sponsors, increased internal program success for Shell Oil, Motorola, Coca-Cola, and others.

Charlotte is a member of the United Way of Atlanta Board of Directors and a 2003 Alumni of Leadership Atlanta.  Most recently, Charlotte was appointed to the Georgia Conservancy Board of Directors and is a 2007 member of The Georgia Environmental Leadership (IGEL) Fellowship Program.
