Professional Development Institute
The Professional Development Institute is committed to enhancing students' professionalism and empowering students to present themselves successfully as candidates for employment or for graduate schools.
The Professional Development Institute consists of career-building workshops, guest speakers, and innovative activities sponsored by the Career Development Center. We are seeking students who have demonstrated a strong desire to grow professionally, have leadership potential, and a motivation to participate in the program.
If you feel at all uncertain or uncomfortable with either the job search process, or your professionalism, or if you need some help getting a jumpstart in the workforce, then PDI is the program to get you there.
I thought it was very beneficial to have someone there to answer questions, lead me in the right direction, and walk beside me through some difficult times
I learned new ways of searching for jobs and what employers are looking for in my resume.

Student Recognition:
Upon completion of the Career Planning Program, students will be recognized in the following ways:
- A Certificate of Recognition from the Career Development Center.
- A Letter of Commendation from the Dean of the student’s college or school.
