As a UA distance learner you have access to all the services offered by UA Career Development Center (CDC) including career counseling, assessment testing, access to UA Razorback CareerLink - our online job posting / job search service, and more. We also offer a number of online resources on our website.

Become a member of the Career Track Razorbacks (CTR)
CTR is a nationally recognized “best practice” professional development certification program designed to help students gain knowledge and skills beyond typical career planning. PDI prepares UA students to be competitive candidates in today’s market by giving them individual professional development attention to improve in the competency areas they most need.

The program is FREE and available to all UA students including distance learners. The entire program can be completed virtually. Join CTR by completing a quick application, and you will be given further instructions after joining.

Take a Career Assessment
If you are uncertain of your major or you would like to know more about your unique skills, knowledge, interests, personality or values, you might consider taking one of our career assessments. Some assessments are free and others have a minimal cost. Using one of our e-Advising methods, one of our career counselors will be happy to review your assessment results with you or help you decide which assessment would be best for you.

Virtual Mock Interviews

  • You may also refine your interview skills utilizing Optimal Resume’s Interview Prep. The interview prep module makes it easy to improve your interviewing skills from the comfort of your own home or office.
  • You control all aspects of your interview practice session, including the interview type, the number of questions, your response format, and the interviewer.
  • There are a variety of interview types from which to choose. A brief description of each interview type is provided. The "Build Your Own" interview type allows you to select the specific questions you want to include in your interview.
  • A built-in Interview Coach function gives you tips to better understand each interview question and appropriate response.
  • Each practice session can include a maximum of 20 interview questions.

Razorback Career Link (RCL)
RCL is the UA’s online electronic job management system that allow UA students and alumni to search and apply for part-time, full-time jobs, internships and co-op positions. Employers use RCL to specifically search for and potentially hire UA students and alumni.

Going Global Career and Employment Resources
Going Global provides country-specific career and employment information, including world-wide internship and job postings, H1B employer listings, corporate profiles, and career resources for 30 countries. This information is updated daily and is FREE to all UA students.
