Partnering with U of A Career Center

Working together to ensure student success.

The mutual goal of faculty, staff and the University Career Development Center is to assist UA students to achieve their goals. By working together, we can ensure that students' transition from student to a valuable member of the work force is a seamless and successful process. Partner with the Career Center to help our students achieve success.

Schedule Classroom/Club Presentations, Workshops, and Events

The Career Development Center offers 6 presentations: CDC Overview, Resume/Cover Letter Writing, Interview Success, Job Search Strategies, Using Social Media Professionally, and Tips for New Professionals. Consider inviting us to your classroom, instead of canceling class.

Co-Sponsor Events and Programs

Already planning a career-related event? Consider co-sponsorship with the CDC! We can help market your event.

Host CDC Open Hours in Your Department

Are there peak times when your students need career assistance? Invite us to host open hours in your department! We can assist your students with job/internship searching, résumé and cover letter writing, preparing for career fairs, interviewing skills, networking, and more!

Link to the CDC on Your Department Website

Encourage your students to use our resources by including a link to the our website on your department’s website. We can also add any web links and online resources specific to your students on our website.

Share Internship and Job Opportunities

We will occasionally send targeted e-mails to faculty about job and internship opportunities. This information can be shared with students and alumnae who are seeking positions. If you or your department receive opportunities that you would like us to know about, please feel free to forward these on to us and we will post them on Razorback CareerLink, the university-wide online job board. For short-term projects (such as freelance opportunities or semester-long research projects), you can also post positions directly on HireOwl.

Refer Students for Assistance

Please encourage your students to seek one-on-one assistance by scheduling an appointment to meet with us. Appointments can be made by calling or stopping by our office. We are here to assist with:

  • Choosing a Major/Exploring Career Options
  • Internship and Job Searching
  • Résumé and Cover Letter Writing
  • Networking and Interviewing Skills
  • Graduate School Preparation
