Nola Holt Royster Scholarship

Division of Student Affairs is currently seeking nominations for the Nola Holt Royster Scholarship. In September 2003, the University of Arkansas awarded its first student scholarship to an undergraduate student in memory of Dr. Nola Holt Royster. Dr. Royster was Director of the University Career Center from 1993 until spring 2001. At her passing in 2001, her family established this scholarship to assist outstanding University of Arkansas students in achieving their academic goals. The recipient of this award will receive a scholarship to be awarded Fall 2016 (half in August, 2016 and half in January, 2017).


Criteria for selection:

  • Is an undergraduate UA student entering his or her last year of study during academic year 2016-2017;
  • Is a student whose ethnic, cultural, and/or national backgrounds contribute to the diversity of the student body;
  • Can demonstrate financial need;
  • Student must have at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA;
  • Actively participates in campus extracurricular activities at the UA; and
  • Is a graduate of an Arkansas high school

A student may be nominated by a faculty member, instructor, advisor, staff member, administrator, employer, or fellow student.

The deadline for nominating undergraduate students for the Nola Holt Royster Scholarship is Friday, April 15, 2016. The winner of the scholarship will be announced before the end of spring 2016 semester.
