Diversity Career Connection Mixer
Tuesday, February 11, 2020
Arkansas Union Verizon Ballroom
Students, participate in this fast-paced, interactive and fun event and learn to create and practice your 60-second elevator pitch and how to ask power questions that will help you instantly connect with hiring managers, recruiters and others.
You will also have the opportunity to share your elevator speech, ask your power questions and learn more about multiple companies that are seeking to hire talented diverse students. Each participant will be given a passport and is encouraged to speak with at least 6 different company representatives, speed-networking style. This means you get to engage with several companies in a short amount of time. Each student is encouraged to collect at least 6 stamps in their passport by the end of the event. Those who do so can then be entered in a drawing to win door prizes that will be given away at the end of the event.
Heavy refreshments will be served.
Business casual attire and registration is required to attend. Students are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes to the event. Resumes may be reviewed prior to the event in the drop-in Career Studio located in ARKU 607, Monday-Thursday from 11:00am-5:00pm during the spring semester.
